After they went bankrupt last year, Circus Agora is introducing a new concept to Norway. They want to create circus without animals. They have had animals in their show for 19 years, and have decided to become the first Norwegian circus that is replacing animals with human artists.
They are denying that their decision about human circus has anything to do with the economical crises. They are promising that among the human artists, it will be a huge variety and it will be performed everything from acrobatic to magic performances.
Circus Agora is debuting in Drammen, furthermore they will go on with a tour in Norway.
How do you feel about animals being in circus?
If you ever have been at a circus, I guess you have noticed all the people that are protesting against animals being in circus. Do you think that the protesting people have had any effect on Circus Agora’s decision about removing the animals?

Circus Agora had certainly a big pressure on them, as the Protestants pushed them to the limit.
An animale in a circus does not belong there, for a reason they should not be trained by human. But live in the free as they have always done for thousands of years. As I see it, if you want to see animals doing cool tricks, I recommend you to learn up a dog.
i think that the economic crisis is one way to get the animals out of the circus, the circus is pure torture without animals so i dont think the circus has gotten rid of their animals for the good cause.
the protesters are getting trough to them but it isnt enough to make them take away their animals.
From my point of view there is tourture to keep animals in zoos. There is like a prison.
Even if they had to quit after they went bankrupt they want to keep on with their circus. They want to restart it without the animals. It might be a great ide, because they don't use animals in their show.
In my point of view, it is not the financial crisis that is the reason why circus Agora don`t have animals anymore. I think all the protests
is the reason for the decision. I could really be one of the protestants myself, because it is a cruelty to keep animals in circus.
When they travel around, they are kept in small wagons and cages. The space is all too small for them. The animals also are used to a
warmer climate than in Norway. This too is animal cruelty. Therefore, animals from the African nature, are born to be free.
